Policies

PLEASE READ THE ENTIRE DOCUMENT BEFORE DECIDING TO PURCHASE WITH US!

DCSabers will not deviate from the policies outlined below, please read this document fully before ordering.

PAYMENTS

From the 19th of February 2024 unless stated as specifically RTS, sabers ordered through our website will now only require a 50% deposit to secure with a 50% balance payment taken at the time of the sabers completion to complete your order.

HOW LONG WILL IT TAKE TO GET MY SABER ?​

From the 19th of February 2024 ALL sabers will have a lead time of up to 6 MONTHS your saber may arrive much sooner but it is essential that before you order you understand that due to how in demand our art is, this is the official lead time.


Everything at DCSabers is made by hand and from scratch on manual machines by only one person and as such we take the upmost pride and care in each piece to create a special saber just for you, DCSabers will not release a saber unless it is PERFECT for you and as such please understand before you choose to order with us that unless sabers state that they are ready to ship (RTS) it can take longer than the delivery aim mentioned above.

This is our best estimation of when your saber will ship however we are not in any way responsible for time frames or missed events such as birthdays, conventions, though we really do try our best to accommodate customers so if there is a special date let us know before purchase and we will try our best, but due to demand and the time it takes to create these pieces unfortunately this is in no way guaranteed due to the nature of how these are made and the couriers used.

We can no longer offer bespoke updates on any individual saber in production, if you would like to see what we are doing we have a regular live stream and a great Discord Community

RTS (Ready To Ship) Sabers

Any Saber that is advertised as RTS has been created already and will require full payment, after final quality checks have been made they are aimed to be dispatched in 2-5 business days from the date of purchase. 

CONTRACTS and CHARGE-BACKS

An increasingly more common practice to circumvent businesses policies and practices is to file a fraudulent charge back with card providers and due to this we have now had to implement the use of contracts to support our business, these will be sent to each client within the initial advertised 24 hour cooling off period and are directly digitally attached to the initial payment deposit made.

You are entitled to cancel your order within 24 hours penalty free.
Following the 24 hour period a 10% fee will be deducted from the total of the order, this is due to parts being ordered and
 time spent on your specific order.

If a cancellation is requested after 15 days since the date of order a 25% fee will be deducted from the total before the refund is actioned as work would have started on your specific piece.

These contracts are fair and simple in nature, they outline what you can expect from the business, time frames, cancellations and returns, and how the business conducts itself for you so everything is official and written down and signed by both parties.


You will be required to be sign this contract before any work is to commence, the contract has been written specifically by our legal representative and cannot be changed under any circumstance.
 

RETURN POLICY

 

As long as the Saber is still in its original, unused condition, we accept returns, subject to the rules below, . None of these rules affect your statutory rights.

If you wish to return your order you must contact us within 14 days of the item being delivered to you to request the return, at which point you will be issued with a return label. The order must then be sent within 14 days of contact.

When the order has arrived with us, it will be inspected to ensure it meets the above criteria. We will then issue your refund within 14 days of delivery (to us) excluding shipping costs and a 20% return fee, by way of the original payment method.

Please note : It may take 7-10 business days for any refunded amount to appear back in your account depending on what payment method you have used.

It is the sole responsibility of the customer to send the saber back to us securely packaged for transit.

 

It is the customers responsibility to cover the shipping costs and any other fees incurred, DCSabers will supply the return labels and international declaration forms if applicable.

Please note : Returned items are your responsibility until they reach us, so make sure they're packed up properly and can't get damaged on the way, It is ESSENTIAL that international customers include the correct documentation for Re-Export that we supply as this will incur fees from UPS that we will have no choice but to pass on if they are not included.

If you request a refund for an item during the above time frames and you can't return it to us for some reason, please get in touch - but any refund will be at our discretion.

Please note : Any saber purchased with any form of personalisation is not eligible for return this includes alternative etching, ANY additional customization and made to specification Master / Mystery Builds.

This policy IS NOT applicable to Mystery Sabers Or Master Builds, these are Made To Specification items cannot be cancelled under any circumstances.

 

Cancellations

If a cancellation is requested within 24 hours of the order being made the customer can get a full refund without penalty.

Following the 24 hour period a 10% fee will be deducted from the total of the order, this is due to parts being ordered and time spent on your specific order.

If a cancellation is requested after 10 days since the date of order a 30% fee will be deducted from the total before the refund is actioned.

Please note : It may take 7-10 business days for any refunded amount to appear back in your account depending on what payment method you have used.

This policy IS NOT applicable to Mystery Sabers Or Master Builds, these Made To Specification items cannot be cancelled

Warranty

If the saber develops a legitimate fault that is not caused by the customer and cannot be rectified through first line support within 14 days of delivery you can request a refund or replacement.

The saber will need to be returned to DCSabers as outlined in the return policy for inspection before a refund or replacement is authorised.

After the 14 day period has elapsed a refund is no longer possible and the DCSabers Warranty is now applicable.

Master Builds

Master Builds represent our best custom work, a master Build constitutes to any saber that is not from our original line and made from scratch, or a saber that is edited or customised from the original line or sabers we produce.
 

Anyone that has received Master Builds from me in the past can vouch that left to really develop these builds they always get far more than they ever paid for.

Acceptance of a Master Build project from DCSabers will require the customer to digitally agree via contract to the terms and conditions involved and payment for Master Build items will now be in two parts a 50% Non refundable deposit followed by a 50% balance payment on completion.

These sabers will no longer have lead times!

I am currently being rushed to complete this type of work and the work is suffering and I’m not happy or in the best head space to put my all into the project, which is nothing but counter productive and not what a customer deserves, for me to put my all into a project i need space and the time to develop my ideas for your masterpiece.

For Master builds from now on I only want to work with people that are serious about these projects.

Shipping

Domestic Shipping via Royal Mail Special Delivery Next Day

 

We ship all international orders via UPS or USPS we will not use any other courier or shipping company, our sabers are shipped fully tracked and insured and must be signed for by an adult, when your saber ships you will be updated through Etsy with your tracking details.

All of our sabers are packed and fully protected for transit. 

 

International buyers may be charged a handling fee and or customs tax chargers when importing our work, we have nothing to do with this process and it is completely out of our hands. 

 

Warranty 

 

Should there be an issue with the products function and it is covered under our warranty we will be happy to service or replace the product at our discretion.

Customers outside of the warranty period are still encouraged to get in touch as we still may be able to help. 

Harassment Policy.

DCSabers WILL NOT accept any type of threats, either personally or to the business especially in the form of but not exclusive to, Blackmail, Bribery, Physical Violence or anything other than common decency.

DCSabers takes a ZERO tolerance stance on this, If any customer displays this kind of behaviour we will cut communication with them immediately, if you have a saber on order with us you will still receive it but it will be the last as your name will be black listed, it pains me massively that I have to put this policy in place, but is now necessary.

We are humans, we are decent people and we treat people like we want to be treated, if a customer can't do the same then we will not communicate with you.. The bottom line is that you wouldn't take it.. And neither will we. Period. 

 

Why do you charge a return and cancelation fee ?

DCSabers Lightsabers and accessories are made to order, this means when a client orders with us we take  payment upfront, invest part of that payment into the parts to actually build and install the saber, we take 50% of the price of the piece upfront, we then purchase the parts to then make it on the clients behalf from scratch.

We deduct the fees stated on return or cancellation to cover the cost of the parts invested but also to cover the time we spent making the hilt for the client that we would otherwise not be able to get back.

We do not accept being told that "we can just sell it on again" as a reason to circumvent this policy as this is not always the case.

As our products are made to order we add this fee to protect our business, however we do offer cancellation in the first 24 hours free of any fees as no parts are ordered or work started within that time so you can change your mind without penalty.
